Welcome to hearthomemade. My name is Kelly. Currently, I’m somewhat of a wandering scientist (read as fluctuating work schedule / pre-midlife crisis / career change contemplation). If money weren’t an issue, I’d love to be a suzy-q homemaker. I LOVE to cook and bake. I find it extremely rewarding to spend time in the kitchen experimenting with different foods, flavors, and textures. Last year, my love of all things culinary turned into copious amounts of food photos, an addiction to food blogs, and a huge jump in the number of recipes I try. So of course, I decided to start my very first blog, and center it around food.
Why else have I decided to share my kitchen endeavors?
– to have an easy format for recipe sharing (a simple way to fulfill those “ooo can I have that recipe?” requests)
– try to give back on the inspiration front (I’m constantly inspired to play with new methods and flavors by reading my favorite blogs)
– feel like I’m doing something productive with the hundreds of photos I take while cooking (I can’t tell you how many times my husband has asked me what I plan on doing with all these photos and why it takes me so long to start eating)
